Why Nigerians should go on vacation

Everyone needs rest

Ever sat down for twenty minutes and created a masterpiece for an advertising campaign in a twinkle of an eye, which turned out brilliant.
It was easy right. Until it wasn’t.
Everybody has the things they can do with their eyes closed and can solve even if the were asleep. If you get slower, you have either lost your mojo or you need a break or a 3-week vacation.

Sometimes your creativity seems gone and the work you produce no longer gets you excited. When this happens, go on a break, have fun. Get a new lease on life.

When you have worked for ten months straight, every day non-stop, your body starts craving rest time. If you don’t yield, your work might become monotonous and boring and soon you will not be quite as creative as when you started the year.

Even a genius will seem like a regular dork when they get no rest. When your body starts calling for a rest, you should respond. If you don’t you could crash and burn.

Some of the ways you can stop a burn out are listed below:

By eating a balanced diet:
The famous proverb ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor’ away is not a fib. Eating good healthy food will keep you looking good and thinking clear thoughts and better able to create good work. Try milk, grains, vegetables, and fruits. Eat some carbohydrates and loads of protein. Also, drink lots of water at all times of the day.

Taking time out for a 3- week vacation
Travel to new places. Visit the zoo. Have fun. Spend time at the beach in the sun. Spend time gardening around your home and playing catch at the park. Have good clean fun to release a new zest of life in you.

Spend time with friends and family:
Everyone needs strong support systems. You need your family and friends. You need a support system that you can trust with your life. you need people who are invested in you and you can depend on.

Watching movies:
Watch old movies. Go out and watch stage plays. Spend time watching funny videos and other creative material. Visit your library of old movies and binge till you are laughing as though nothing else matters.

Reading books:
Read tons of books. Read magazines. Read material that inspires you to be your best self. Read whatever makes your heart pump. Read whatever awakens your passions for life.

Developing other interests:
Learn to dance salsa. Learn to paint and sketch. Learn a new language. Meet new people. Live a little.

Finding your raison d'être
What is your ‘why’? What is the reason you exist? What do you live for? What is the most important thing you must accomplish? What are your top ten things on your to-do list? Have you attempted 50% of your ten-year plan? What is in your wish list? Find your purpose and chase it. Find the most important reason or the purpose for someone your existence and go and that.
